Overview
The Wellness Panel through Precision Labs is the ideal panel to provide you with a baseline of personal health information. This panel tests for a variety of hormone levels, total cholesterol (lipid panel), and chemistry markers, including the adrenal gland function, and thyroid hormones. It is standard for evaluating your overall health and fundamental well being.
Your primary care physician or specialist (eg. endocrinologist, naturopath, etc) may have requested this panel so they can help you make decisive choices about your health. Your insurance may cover the entire cost of this panel. Ask your doctor or specialist more about how to order this panel.
In combination with other risk factors, this panel can be used to determine your overall risk for heart disease and other serious health conditions. These risk factors include: age, sex, family history, high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, and obesity. Men are more likely to get heart disease about 7 to 10 years before women on average.
Precision Labs recommends this test panel if your doctor is concerned about hormonal imbalance or you are experiencing any of the following: trouble sleeping, fatigue or low energy, changes in mood, reproductive problems, blood sugar imbalance, weight gain, irregular menstrual cycle in women, or if your doctor suspects you have a thyroid disorder such Graves’ disease or you have thyroid nodules.
Every system in the body impacts the body as a whole. Therefore it’s important to have a detailed measure of your body composition with a Comprehensive Wellness Panel to get to the root cause of your condition.
This panel is done through a simple, fasting blood draw. It is not a urine test. Results are usually available within 48 to 72 hours. Hormone testing is available for both male and female.
Please note that the results for T3 are free only, Bilirubin and Protein is total only, and Basophils, EOS, Grans, Lumps, Monocytes, and Neutrophils are absolute.
